Etta Shuns Beyonce'

Okay guys here's the latest scoop....

Legendary singer Etta James has lost her mind! Etta expressed to her audience at a Jan. 28 concert her feelings about Beyonce's rendition of her world famous song "At Last" at President Obama's Inauguration. Etta's exact words were "I tell you that woman that he had singing for him, singing my song, I'm going to whup her ass" WOW! I mean that's all I got to say. Now if you don't already know, Beyonce portrayed Ms. James in the movie "Cadilac Records" and in my opinion, I think she did a pretty great job. Personally I'm a total sucker for all of those legendary, classic, old school singers, but I must admit I am a little put off by Ms. James' tirade. If someone_ especially one of today's most well-known international superstars feels that you are so awesome that they want to pay homage to you and sing one of your songs and you turn around and say that you want to_ as Ms. James so eloquently put it_"whup her ass" well my friends that's a whole other level of disrespect. I mean come on, Beyonce' did a great job singing that song, but no one is as good as the original. I think someone needs to tell Ms. James that she can calm down because Beyonce' still can't rock it like her!! As if ranting about her displeasure with Beyonce' wasn't enough, Etta also went on to refer to President Barack Obama as "the president with the big ears." Yeah okay Ms. Etta, get a life!! Either accept the fact that people actually do still see you as iconic or go back to your retirement home and wait for the next bingo game. This incident was completly ridiculous and just another attempt for Ms. Etta to get a few more minutes of exposure for herself. Now I love Etta's music and think that she is a fantastic artist, but all I have to say is.... GET IT TOGETHER SWEETIE!!
